Stoa Sanctuary
A religious nonprofit, Wyoming, United States

Quiet work, done well, with people who already know how.

Stoa Sanctuary supports counseling, livelihood and coexistence work in Jordan. We do not run programs ourselves. We fund licensed Jordanian organizations that already do this work in their own communities, under written agreements, and we report back to the people who make it possible.

What we promise every donor

  • Your name is never published, announced or shared with anyone outside Stoa without your consent.
  • Your gift goes to the project you choose, delivered by a licensed Jordanian partner under a written agreement.
  • You receive a written report when the work is done, with the numbers reached and photographs where permitted.
  • Our bank and our board know who gives, as United States law requires. It goes no further.
Where we work

Jordan, through partners who were there first

Every project runs in a place where a licensed Jordanian organization already has staff, a building and trust. Stoa funds the work, checks it, and reports on it. The partner delivers it.

1
You choose a project

Pick the work that matters to you and give once or monthly. Tell us if you want to fund a whole cohort or program and we will send you the plan and budget.

2
The partner delivers it

Funds move to the Jordanian partner under a grant agreement with a budget, a timeline and separate accounting, as United States charity rules require for work abroad.

3
You receive the report

Within 30 days of completion you get a short written report. Beneficiary names are withheld. Photographs are included where the partner and the people in them agree.

Projects

Three kinds of work, one standard

Each project names what a sponsorship does, who delivers it, where, and what you will see in the report. The first three open first. The rest follow as partners are signed.

Ways to give

Give the way that suits you

Continue to secure card payment

You choose the amount on the next page. Card payments run through a nonprofit payment processor. Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Apple Pay are accepted in US dollars, euros, pounds and dirhams. A receipt is emailed for every gift.

Before you give

Stoa Sanctuary is a nonprofit religious corporation formed in Wyoming, United States. Our federal tax exemption application is in progress. Until the determination letter is issued, gifts may not be tax deductible in the United States. We will say so plainly here when that changes.

We accept gifts from people and institutions who are willing to be known to us and to our bank. We do not accept cash or anonymous gifts, and we decline any gift we cannot verify.

Transparency

What exists today, and what is pending

We would rather tell you where we are than pretend to be further along. This section is updated as each step is completed.

Board and advisors

Three directors serve as the board. A regional advisory council is being formed and will be listed here as members are confirmed.
